Who We Are

The Colonial Dames XVII Century is a genealogical society focused on lineal descendant of an ancestor who lived and served prior to 1701 in one of the Original Colonies in the geographical area of the present United States of America.

Our core activities include historical preservation, heraldry, and educational support. We host one of the largest libraries of heraldry in the US. If you’ve ever been interested in whether your family has Armorial Ancestors, you’re in the right place. We encourage and assist our members in the research of their family coat of arms.
